Texas Video Magic

Greetings in the Name of Jesus!

The Dallas Chapter utterly received pleasure from hosting the first session of 2005 for Texas Mass Choir.  The “Mass” convened on April 1st and 2nd at the Christian Temple CME Church.  Dr. McNeil and his staff were excellent hosts to us.  Their edifice is exquisite, their hospitality and care was beyond measure.  We thank them for allowing us to use their facility and pray God’s blessing upon them.

We started out Friday evening with an stupendous musical.  Dallas, Ft. Worth, Tyler, Longview and Houston Chapters gave glory to God in song.  Our special guest for the evening was Minister Maurice Wilkes and Anointed for Praise.  All did a magnificent job.  Praise the Lord!!   Following the musical, a reception was held at the church.  “Chef” Larce ‘Tony’ Preston was in charge of food for that weekend and “it was off the chain”.  Every morsel was a pure delight.

On Saturday we were in morning service, where the Rev. Stapleton of Shekinah Baptist was our guest speaker.  He delivered a very inspiring message to all.  Classes at this session were “New Music”,  “Lithurigal Dance” and “Designing a Website”.  Lunch was delicious and good for the soul.  Following lunch we had rehearsal where “The Mass” Directors Ronald Materre and John Adams took the choir through several numbers in preparation for the night’s musical, which was a blessed event.  The Workshop was indeed a great success.  We are looking forward to attending the 2nd Session in June, which will be hosted by the Austin Chapter.

All praises and glory belong to God for his abundant mercy and grace.  The Dallas Chapter will soon begin preparations for the National Convention to be held in Milwaukee, WI.

Until the next time,

Live life looking through the windshield, not the rearview mirror.

Yours in Christ,

Lady Linda Mitchell, Dallas Chapter Rep

Rev. Jerry Lott, Assistant Chapter Rep

Mr. Sam Britt, Assistant Chapter Rep

Minister Elbert Hensley, Minister of Music, Dallas Chapter
